Marehay Show

The Marehay Show has been held most years since 1957 having originated as a horticulture show at the old Marehay cricket ground at the Hollybush. The modern show is situated on the Marehay Park and retains its heart as a horticultural show hosting the villages annual flower and produce competitions, but has expand to celebrate the a range of crafts and skills from the village.

In addition the show provides a range of family friendly entertainment, children's activities, classic vehicle displays and the villages annual dog show. The show also offers a range of stalls offering a diverse selection of products, table top games, raffles and tombolas, as well as a variety of refreshment options including a licensed bar and hot and cold food vendors.

Entertainment

The show is excited to host an extensive and diverse range of local family-friendly entertainment, which has previously included marching bands, lively dance groups, engaging children's entertainers, talented singers, and skilled musicians, as well as providing a platform for hosting traditional and much-loved children's games.

 

A detailed timetable of events will be published on our official Facebook page and will also be prominently posted around the arena for everyone's convenience.

 


Exhibits

The show provides locals with a wonderful opportunity to showcase and compete with their homegrown fruit, vegetables, flowers, and plants. Participants can also present their talents in floral art, home produce, handicrafts, and a variety of creative arts, celebrating the diverse skills and efforts within the community.
